Details: Attention all creative Middle Eastern fashion designers, design students, graphic designers, illustrators, artists, bloggers, breast cancer survivors and anyone with design talent: Here’s your chance to design a bra or t-shirt that will truly make a difference!

Brought to you by One Wig Stand (www.onewigstand.com) and Fustany.com (www.Fustany.com), Bras for a Cause is the first bra design contest of its kind to take place in the Middle East in support of breast cancer survivors and breast cancer organizations in the region.

Join us in suppporting this cause by submitting your most creative designs for any of the following categories:

The “Designer Piece” Bra Design Category (EXCLUSIVE)

Established fashion designers will be invited to take part in this category by designing and producing a distinctive bra or t-shirt for this cause, to be later auctioned at our upcoming fashion shows to raise funds for regional Breast Cancer organizations. We have 20 big-name, international fashion designers already on-board and more will also designing for this cause.

The “Her Bra” Bra Design Category

One of the most important categories in this contest, the “Her Bra” Bra Design Category is open for anyone interested in designing a bra specifically with the breast cancer survivor in mind. While designing this bra, take into account a post-mastectomy prosthesis and other fitting needs. For added insight for how to design this bra, we recommend asking a Breast Cancer survivors you know what she would like in such a bra. We’re also posting helpful tips on our Facebook page.

The “Everybody Wants Me” Bra Design Category

Get as creative as you can with this category! This is a general category to design a bra for all women, so design it thinking “How can I make this bra the next big thing all women would want to wear?” Open for fashion designers and/or individuals working in a creative field.

The “Training Bra” Bra Design Category

Perhaps you’re still in school aspiring to be a fashion designer or someone with an interest in fashion but learning all the ins and outs? Don’t worry – we haven’t forgotten you. This category is open to the public at large, including all young emerging fashion designers, students and/or anyone with an interest in design but not yet a professional. Design the bra of your dreams and it just might come true!

The “Such a Tee-s” T-Shirt Design Category

There’s going to be a whole lot of bras in this contest, but we can’t forget the T-shirts! This category is open to all fashion designers, artists, graphic designers, illustrators and/or interested in designing a creative T-shirt based on the theme of breast cancer awareness.

Winning designs will be produced and showcased in exclusive fashions shows in Dubai and Beirut later this year. Winners will also receive a valuable cash prize up to $500  and other special gifts from our Sponsors.

So what do you need to submit?

All participants will be required to submit detailed sketches of their designs, along with descriptions, fabric choices, mood board and other information that will help us evaluate the designs better. You can submit up to (3) separate designs within any of the categories. All submissions can easily be done online too.

The winning designs for each category will then be produced for the fashion shows and later sold in selected lingerie stores and other high-end boutiques across the Middle East to raise proceeds for regional Breast Cancer organizations. Imagine how many people will get to see and wear your creative designs!
