Paul Van Dyk – Biel 2004

Over a decade, He has topped every chart, broken every record and swept all DJ awards.
His marathon sets have captured the mind, soul and heart of clubbers all over the planet.
The worldwide media refers to him as “The Clubbers God”.
Finally PVD Performed live in Biel. BeirutNightLife.Com team was there to have this nice review about PVD and the event in general.
It was a Friday night , The 18th of June 2004 , a date that will be carved in the Hearts of Lebanese Clubbers…
Biel was Transformed into a real Gipsy Carnaval , but with no gypsies , just pure
Clubbers who came in thousands to see the GOD OF TRANCE perform live .
The road leading to Biel Downtown Beirut was grid-locked, people hitting it on foot because of the major traffic and the big amounts of clubbers heading to where the magic will take place.
11.30 pm and Amadeus the Warm Up DJ for PVD starts his Set with “Distant Memories – Madoka (Mathew Deck Remix)” … following it with a selection of progressive House tunes with some minor progressive Trance influences.
Around 4000 Clubbers were jumping and waving with every kind of glow sticks, enjoying the music and waiting for the GOD OF TRANCE to deliver them to the land of grace …
12.30 am and a few minutes for PVD to show up, Amadeus hits with “Seven Nation Army – The White Stripes (Chris Liebing Remix)” … and the crowd goes insane on the set were it was all happening …
12.45 am and the Time Bomb Hits ZERO …
Amadeus ends his Warm Up Set with “God Child – Marco V” … A perfect way to hand in the decks for PVD…
THE KING KONG OF TRANCE went on stage, You could almost hear every Heartbeat …
The Crowd got excited, and the thirst for the real and exclusive experience was more than real …
“Red Bullet – Music Man REMIX” was the opening set for the man himself …
Every one on the set was chearing and waving for PVD.
It was my first time ever to witness PVD in live performance, and let me tell u from a DJ’s point of view , IT WAS MAGICAL AND REALLY KICKING !!!
You could see & feel the real excellence in mixing , he was delivering the real sensation from heart to heart , it was a kind of chemistry between him and the crowd , a combination no one can analyze , but you had to be there to feel it and understand what it means and how it feels .
With every Break, whistles and cheers go louder and louder , every person screaming for PVD and asking for more …
The Vandit Re-edit of Crush his latest Single , released the energy among the clubbers , and the hands in the air with the green lazer floating in the sea of the 4000 , made PVD realise that there is a next come back to Lebanon with no hesitation …
The time was coming close to end THE MAGICAL JOURNEY if I may call it …
But PVD knows how much “For An Angel” means to the Lebanese crowd,
So he hits it, and once again no words can ever describe what was happening,
I witnessed it; I hope you did also …
We all wished that night, that the set would go a bit longer, but we will always be there for PVD’s next come back to Lebanon …
