Fashion expo White Milan begins from Jan 12

It will once again be marked by research and by the expression of the new languages of fashion – translated into women’s wear and menswear collections – the next edition of White Milan which will take place at via Tortona 27, 12th to 14th January 2013.

In the heart of one of the most prestigious international design & fashion districts, White will launch the first step of a service dedicated to the city and its 650 showrooms of medium and large companies in the fashion industry, designing special showcases which will display a targeted selection of the new autumn-winter 2013/14 collections. The showrooms will be connected to the show thanks to a free shuttle service, personalized with the logo of the exhibited brands, departing from Via Tortona 27 and available to all attending buyers.

Among the news the runway show of Fabio Quaranta, the designer highlighted by AltaRoma and White in the previous editions, who will present his menswear autumn-winter 2013/14 collection on the evening of Sunday, January 13th, launching a brand new location, the Calabiana space in the street of the same name, close to Via Ripamonti.

Great expectation for the Cutuli event that celebrates its 175th birthday at Via Tortona 27. The company based in Bevagna (Perugia) comes from an ancient textile tradition that has its origins in Calabria. Claudio Cutuli represents the fifth generation of skilled weavers and dyers. Cutulicult, the most sophisticated and precious collection proposed at White for the autumn-winter 2013/14 is a perfect combination of cashmere gauzes in natural dyes with minks, multicolor foxes, chinchillas, laminate rabbits, stoats and lasered skin.

Interesting and of high-profile the innovations shown inside the exhibiting areas at Via Tortona 27, once again dedicated to the collections for women and men: for the first time at White Milan, January 2013 the British brand Daks, showing the women’s  wear of the flagship label as well as the menswear and women’s wear Daks Sport line.

An important debut for White, but also for the London-based company, founded at the end of the nineteenth century by a tailor’s shop in the heart of the City, which in 1934 became a ready-to-wear trademark among the most popular British style ones.An important new entry in the January edition is Para jumpers, the Italian brand specialized in high altitude outerwear garments inspired by clothing of explorers in Alaska.

Another interesting brand debuting at White January is Natural Born Elegance, the menswear line designed by Julien Cerruti that offers five new models of jackets, made from the finest Australian wools, the cashmeres from Mongolia, cottons of Barbados and innovative materials from the Parcour line, the most casual one, inspired by the military archives of the historical Lanificio Fratelli Cerruti in Biella.

Another new feature of the show are the men’s collections of Comeforbreakfast, designed by Antonio Romano and Francesco Alagna; glasses form the brand Hapter, winner of the Leisure & lifestyle section of the IF Design Award, which will be presented for the first time and exclusively at White and Laura B, the Italian-Spanish designer, author of haute de gamme jewel-accessories.
